Eagles Reunite Update #5
September 17, 2020

Dear Graded Community,

Today, municipal government of São Paulo officials announced a series of steps to reopen school campuses throughout the city.

What we do know is that beginning October 7, schools may reopen their campuses for extracurricular activities but not formal academic instruction. There will be limitations placed on the number of students permitted on campus and on the kinds of activities that may be conducted.

We are currently seeking clarity and will provide you with additional information when it is available, including the first date we will reopen for extracurricular activities.

Mayor Bruno Covas has announced that he will continue to evaluate the presiding city health conditions. He will determine if schools may reopen their campuses for formal learning and communicate that decision by November 3.

I invite you to a Coffee with the Superintendent on Thursday, September 24 @ 7:00 pm, during which I will share comprehensive information about this first phase including dates for extracurricular activities.

We are thrilled that we will soon be reconnected with our students, albeit with significant conditions and under limited occupancy. Your patience and understanding at this time are greatly appreciated, as we develop our plans and work to share them with you.

Please know we are committed to reuniting your children with our teachers. That moment will be truly inspiring. I have been looking forward to this event since March 17. What a sight it will be to, once again, see our amazing students on campus!

Graded Eagles, it’s time to reunite!
